Ok, me and Will went round town 2day 2 plan a descent run with as little bare parts as poss (i.e. parts with nowhere to pk). I thought it would be fun 2 make it a race. Not at all 2 make free running competitive, but just 2 practise parkour in a pressurised enviroment at full speed so you improve more rapidly and just for a bit of fun rlly. PLUS it would actually improve your fitness as well! Right, bare in mind it's a fair way (not miles) but not short. The race would involve 2 groups. Each group would begin from a different starting point, go roughly the same route but would go slightly different ways. Each route is basically the same distance overall. There are some bits where one team would have to go further, but would then be compensated by having a shorter route later on. It starts from the Westgate Carpark and ends at the Castle. The winner would be the first team with 2 traceurs at the finish. So minimum amount of ppl 8. But I want more! MORE! The more the better. I plan to have the fist race on the 30th of July at 9am! Less people in the way and it won't be nearly as hot. Don't be lazy, come. I'll explain the route at the next jam and then you can all explain to whoever you want b4 the 30th. It's not just Oxtricks, anyone is welcome. Lemme know what you think and tell me if your up 4 it so we can get a rough idea of who's coming. Safe Jg

sounds a great idea and would be perfect for practising true parkour. im sure pete and people would be interested. another cool location is the rooftops of the radcliffe infirmary. they are big and u have to use all aspects of parkour. particurlary climbing and cat grabs.

we did a similar game too. But it is important to pay attention, because when you are doing a race it is more difficult concentrate on the obstacle in the way. It is also important to think about that some tricks are slower than others, so everybody thinks about the fastest trick to do during the race.

Yea that's a good point. We'll have to be extra aware of our surroundings as well as one part involves one team running through westgate shopping centre.

Can you please confirm if you can definately make it so I can work out whether or not I need more people. I'm aiming to get at least 10 (5 vs 5). Remember 9am, we'll meet at the bottom of the abandoned escalator. So far the ppl I think r comin r:
Me (lol) Will Matti Jonny Max Pete Chris
I'm hoping Faris will b able 2 make it and I dunno if Pete can get his m8 Warren to come as well. But we need more so 1. Confirm that you can make it 2. Get other people!
Cheers yo
